Galoot

Galoot, 43 cm x 30 cm, 17" x 12", 2017 is painted on a 1/2" MDF panel mounted on plywood. Galoot was painted with urethane and acrylic binders, pigments in dispersal water, dry iridescent pigments and resin.

Galoot refers to a clumsy fool.

When this painting was done the title John Wayne Gacy popped into my head when I sat back and looked at it. That direct association was to severe for me so I went with Galoot. This dark association was confirmed by a friend being startled by it when they entered my studio.
